Frequently Asked Questions
As your Personal Chef, I will not only prepare healthy, robust meals in your home, but will also prepare them to your specifications, regardless of what type of diet you are on or what your food sensitivities are.
What Is A Personal Chef?
A Personal Chef is someone who you have handed over all facets to the Dinner Dilema that your family faces on a daily basis. Instead of you worrying about from how you’re going to prepare the food for your dinner party while trying to straighten up your house to what new recipes to test out with your friends and neighbors, Your Personal Chef can do all of that for you!
The first step involves the potential client (you) telling me what your family’s food needs are. No two families are the same, and so each client is given personal attention when it comes to planning their menus.
This is accomplished by sitting down and discussing: Once we agree that this service could be beneficial
to you and your guests, we will sign an initial one-time Dinner Party/Cooking Class
contract stating the terms that we agreed to, including the cooking and
follow-up dates. A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 for the
session is due at the end of this meeting, which will
cover part of my personal fees, as well as lock in the date of the event. The balance of the fees (my personal fees and grocery items) will be billed on the cooking date, with payment due 10 days after receipt. Discuss any post-cooking date issues that may have arisen (e.g., not putting away personal equipment in their proper areas). You will also be left with an invoice for the remainder of the balance due. Payment is due ten
days after receipt, and until further notice, checks and money orders
are the only method of payment available. Are there any guarantees? You will also be able to
tell your friends that you finally found the secret to eating healthy -
hiring a Personal Chef to handle all of your food needs while you enjoy
time with your family and friends, instead of spending time away from them! For any questions and/or comments that you may have, please feel free to use the Contact Us form located on this website.
What happens between the day of consultation and the day of the cooking session:
Within 48 hours of the initial consultation, you are emailed a draft
menu consisting of up to five entrees (and appropriate side dishes) for
you and your family to consume. Once this menu is approved, I place
special orders for any proteins that are not readily available at the
grocery stores that I will be shopping at.
What happens the day of my cooking session:
Prior to my arrival at your house, I will have gone
shopping for the freshest and healthiest grocery items (proteins,
produce, dairy) at however many stores it takes for me to accomplish
this. Whenever possible, I will try to purchase for my clients locally
produced fruits and vegetables. I also bring along my own pantry items,
cookware and cooking utensils, storage containers, cleaning products
(unless you have specific products to use in your kitchen), and trash
bags.
Once I arrive at your house, I will set up my equipment, clean and
sanitize the cooking and prep areas, and commence cooking. If you are
home while I am working, you are more than welcome to stay in the
kitchen and watch what I am doing. Who knows? You may learn a couple of
new tricks!
After the measl have been prepared and cooked, I will clean up your kitchen so that it is
spotless, as well as clean, sanitize, and return whatever equipment of
yours I use to their proper places. I will also put your dishes in your dishwasher so that you don't have to do that!
Is there a follow-up session?
All follow-up is done one week after the service via phone. This will allow my clients and I to:
By all means YES!
Once you try I Can Cook 4 You Personal Chef Service, you will forget
about doing it all when it comes to entertaining your family and friends at home - you now have a Personal Chef to do this for you!
Thank you and Bon Appetit!
